About the Society

Creating Community Wellness Society (CCWS) leads in the development and coordination of community-based health and wellness initiatives and to support the charitable work of community organizations providing wellness education, and wellness, health and medical care services to the public. The purposes of the society are: HEALTH, EDUCATION AND CHARITY

a) To operate health and wellness clinics that will provide free health, wellness and medical care services to the public;

b) To provide educational programs, classes, workshops and seminars on health and wellness related topics;

c) To operate a birthing centre and provide education and information to expectant new mothers relating to preparation for birth and child care;

d) To provide a public health and wellness resource library;

e) To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom, from time to time, to charitable organizations that are also registered charities under the Income Tax Act (Canada).
